KTR holds review meeting on Ward Offices system

The MA&UD minister stated that there has been a progressive increase in the number of individuals responding to the Ward Offices system, and he recommended the authorities to take steps to make the system more approachable. In order to do this, he advised that initiatives be launched in collaboration with the Resident Welfare Associations.


Additionally, he requested that authorities work with other associations and women's groups to promote the system. According to KTR, the state administration thinks that only through citizen involvement can the municipal department's objectives be met. He told the authorities to keep in mind that when people believe the system is working, they will come into Ward Offices more frequently. The minister also gave the ghmc authorities advice on how to be fully prepared for the current monsoon season. To handle the difficulties that develop during rains, corporate officials were urged to coordinate with other departments.

KTR added that a conference with sanitation employees, who are essential to sanitation management, has to be organised in order to ask the officials to give it high priority. He instructed authorities to have lunch meetings with sanitation employees in order to thank them for their efforts and advise them on the steps that should be done to further improve the city's cleanliness.
