However, approvals were granted to government departments and private organisations for road cutting for the laying of optical fibre cable, pipelines, etc.
Some departments carrying out work in various sections of the city by excavating the roads include the hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB), Transmission Corporation of telangana Limited (TSTRANSCO), and telangana State Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TSSPDCL).
The departments and agencies that excavated the roads must stop cutting the roadways, fill the trenches with stone dust, and perform temporary restoration as part of their pre-monsoon preparations. The Executive Engineers of ghmc will take the required steps to protect the road users from inconvenience and restore the road cuttings by May 31.
