According to information the former mp claimed to have, sharmila will shortly join the Congress. Rao said that sharmila has been invited to join the party as the daughter of ardent Congressman Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy. Rajasekhara Reddy, who led undivided andhra pradesh as chief minister from 2004 to 2009, was good friends with Rao.
