Sonala village, which is a part of Boath mandal, has been transformed into the mandal's administrative centre, fulfilling a long-held desire of the locals. On Saturday, a directive to this effect was issued. Sonala mandal was created in accordance with the order by the villages of Sakera, Kotha, Gurrala Thanda, Guttapakka Thanda, Ghanpur, Pardi-B, Devulanaik Thanda, Pardi-K, Chintal Bori, Keshavguda, and Vajjara. When speaking at a campaign rally in 2018,
chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao pledged to carve away Sonala mandal from Boath. A committee was established to help the community become a mandal.
The
chief minister was informed of this demand by
local public leaders on
june 30 as he was speaking to a crowd in Asifabad. In order to do this, he phoned CMO secretary Narsing Rao and gave him the order to turn Sonala into a mandal head centre.
Thula Srinivas, the president of Boath Mandal Parishad, and the Sonala Mandal Sadhana committee also praised the
chief minister for bringing their wish to fruition.
