Telangana Govt decided to give ‘Y’ category security to BJP MLA Eatala
BJP mla and former minister Eatala Rajender was given 'Y' category security on friday as a result of his accusations that a political foe had threatened to kill him. His protection will be provided by five guards. This happened after Rajender's wife jamuna said that MLC P. kaushik Reddy of the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) was threatening Rajender with death. She said that the MLC was willing to pay Rs. 20 crore for the murder of her husband. State minister K.T. Rama Rao gave the director General of police Anjani Kumar the go-ahead to address and look into Jamuna's security concern.
On Thursday, Deputy Commissioner of police Medchal G. sandeep paid a visit to the mla at his home in Shameerpet, which is on the outskirts of Hyderabad, and gave him the assurance that a thorough report about the security concerns raised would be written and given to Cyberabad CP stephen Raveendra and the DGP. The DCP and his crew spent the entire four hours checking the MLA's residence for any potential threats or indicators of an impending attack.
After being removed from the cabinet on claims that he had encroached on certain farmers' land for a family-run chicken business, Rajender left the BRS and joined the bjp in 2021. Rajender also left the assembly and ran in the by-election under the bjp banner. He had won a huge majority and kept his seat.
