Karimnagar - Sakhi centre rescues distressed married woman, reunites with parents
After getting the call, the Sakhi team went to the location and attempted to ask her questions, but in vain because she was discovered to be deaf and dumb. The Sakhi team spoke with the teachers at the government Deaf and Dumb school in Rekurthi, Karimnagar, to obtain her contact information. Her name was Swapna, and the faculty members could tell that she was from the Manchineella Banda village in the Akkannapet mandal of the siddipet district.
The information about swapna had been posted on social media by the Sakhi authorities, who had made it known. Her parents had contacted the Sakhi facility after reading the social media posts. They told the authorities that Chiranjeevi, Swapna's husband, was tormenting her by carrying on an extramarital relationship with another lady. parents were informed that they had reported their daughter missing to the police at the time she left the village. On Friday, swapna was given to her parents after Sakhi Centre staff members reviewed the police station files.
The parents were counselled by district Welfare Officer sandhya Rani and Sakhi Administrator D Lakshmi, who also promised swapna every support. Additionally, they promised to give swapna a place to live and to sue her husband Chiranjeevi for harassing her.
