On Monday, the school bells will begin ringing once more after a break of 50 days. The new academic year 2023–24 will begin with students returning to their classrooms and playgrounds after a vacation of around one and a half months. The break began on april 23. The anticipation of returning to school has begun to spread as students and their families rush to buy textbooks, backpacks, shoes, and other supplies.
Schools are preparing for the change from summer vacation mode to active classrooms, not just the children. The management cleaned the restrooms, playgrounds, and classrooms as part of their last-minute preparations on saturday and Sunday. Most schools sprayed disinfectants throughout the building in addition to clearing the debris to maintain cleanliness and safety.
Although students are returning to school on Monday, most teachers started working again on june 2. Several private managements have requested lesson plans, evaluation strategies, and extracurricular activities for pupils from the teachers who were given a two-week summer break. During the summer break, in-house training sessions for newly hired instructors were also provided.

The school Education department has created an action plan for 2023–2024 in the meantime. The department will shortly distribute handouts containing indoor and outdoor activities for kids in Classes 1 through 10 for 10 bag-less days. According to the plan, every third saturday in a month will be observed as a bag-less day.
The department is developing the Learning Improvement programme in conjunction with Save the Children, the Centre for Innovations in Public Systems, and Classes VI to VIII to improve learning levels. The performance of academics and institutions, including all academic and administrative cadre jobs, is being evaluated using institutional and individual appraisal systems.
