The jawaharlal nehru Technological university (JNTU), Hyderabad, has begun producing cyber warriors through its new BTech CSE Cyber Security program to meet the enormous demand for trained cyber security professionals, fuelled by the sharp rise in cybercrime and cyber-fraud cases, from government security agencies and private firms.
From the next academic year, the subject will only be given at the varsity campus college in Hyderabad. The telangana Police's cybercrime specialists, who have been successfully solving cybercrime cases, will now help the institution develop cyber warriors. The State police and JNTU, Hyderabad, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding, and they will be attending lessons in the third and fourth years of the program. Experts will instruct students on how to spot cybercrime using real-world examples in addition to the tools and software that may be utilized to investigate crimes.
The university has partnered with TCS, which not only offered lessons to students in their third and final year of coursework but also helped the course's development. There will be 60 places available for the new self-finance course at the Centre for Excellence in Cyber Security, with an annual cost of Rs. 1 lakh. The TS EAMCET 2023 will be used to determine admissions.
