Yenugu Krishnamurthy, 83, methodically describes the history of each of his 1,000 antique objects as he strolls around his house museum in Alwal. The location, known as the YK Antiques house Museum, embodies Krishnamurthy's lifelong love of antiques and has a retro south indian house feel. He chuckles when asked how it all began and thinks of his mum. "I made the decision to relocate my mother to chennai with us while I was working there. She brought several large brass utensils, so because there was no room for them in the kitchen, I set them up as decorative items in our living room.
