Telangana - SLBC unveils annual credit plan of Rs 2.42 lakh crore
Finance minister T harish rao and Agriculture minister S Niranjan reddy revealed the annual credit plan at the 37th SLBC meeting held at T-Hub on Friday. They credited Telangana's position as the nation's fastest-growing state to the bold decisions made by chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao. He stated Telangana's GDP contribution climbed from 4.1 percent in 2014–15 to 4.8 percent in 2022–23, highlighting the state's economic progress.
According to harish rao, government programmes like Rythu Bandhu, continuous free power, Mission Kakatiya, kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project (KLIP), and other irrigation projects are to blame for the impressive expansion of the agricultural and related sectors. Positive outcomes have come from the State's focus on agriculture and related industries like fisheries and sheep distribution.
According to him, telangana ranks second in the nation for providing the Food Corporation of india (FCI) with the biggest amount of paddy, showing a considerable increase in agriculture's GSVA (Gross State Value Added), which will rise from 16.3% in 2014–15 to 18.8% by 2022–23.
