According to authorities, a man from Gurugram was detained after reportedly raping, extorting, and threatening to kill his instagram pal. The woman admitted to meeting the accused Nitish Sharma on instagram when she spoke with the police.
"On april 26, we met for the first time at the Sikenderpur Metro Station in Gurugram, and he offered me a soft drink laced with seductive stuff. After consuming this, I lost consciousness, and when I came to my senses, I found myself in an oyo hotel and accused made my objection pictures and videos," she claimed.

She began her complaint by stating that "he started blackmailing me and started pressuring me that he would upload my pictures and videos on social media if I disclosed the matter to anyone."
In connection with the incident, the police got a zero FIR but later filed a FIR at the DLF police station accusing the accused of violating pertinent IPC statutes, including the rape statute. On Monday, the culprit was apprehended. A senior police officer reported that the victim was presented before a city court for her testimony under Section 164 of the CrPC following a medical checkup.
