After the Lok Sabha, prime minister Narendra Modi targeted the congress in the rajya sabha on Thursday. Responding to the motion of thanks on the President's address, PM Modi asked rahul gandhi without naming him that a great person like Nehru is not acceptable to your family itself, so how do you ask us to account for it? He said, one thing was never understood that why everyone in their next generations was afraid of using Nehru surname? What is their objection to this? Was he ashamed of having the Nehru surname? Schemes were named only after Nehru, not his surname

PM Modi said, some people have objection regarding the names of great men in the schemes of the government. In a newspaper, I had read the news of more than 600 government schemes being named after the Gandhi-Nehru family. There was a time if Nehru was not included in the name of a scheme, then some people's hair used to stand on end. He used to get angry as to why his name was not given. Still, I did not understand why those who named schemes after Nehru were ashamed of using this surname.

Instead of finding solutions to challenges, a party created a culture of simply avoiding

PM Modi taunted the congress that those who kept their government everywhere from panchayat to parliament never thought of solutions to the challenges. The whole country used to support him, then instead of thinking of solutions, he adopted the culture of avoiding challenges. They never thought of a solution, nor did they try. We think of solutions. Then take steps for that. This effort is the identity of our government. We find lasting solutions to challenges.
