The ysr congress party won all 10 of the district's assembly seats in the 2019 elections for the nellore district, including Sullurpeta with a massive majority of 61,000 votes. The same district, however, is now giving party leader and chief minister Y S jagan Mohan reddy a lot of trouble. Anam Ramanarayan reddy of the venkatagiri assembly constituency and kotamreddy sridhar reddy, two of the 10 MLAs, have publicly rebelled against the party leadership, but at least three more are rumoured to be in complete disarray.
Mekapati chandrasekhar reddy, an mla from Udayagiri, has been speaking in a different manner over the past several days, expressing displeasure with party observer Dhanunjay Reddy's intervention in his district despite the fact that he was chosen by Jagan. The power centre in tadepalli has learned that gudur mla Vara prasad and Kovur mla N prasanna Kumar reddy are likewise not showing a lot of interest in the party activities. This has greatly irritated jagan Mohan reddy, who has resolved to restructure the party in the nellore area.
As a clear replacement for Anam Ramanarayan reddy, he has already named Nedurumalli ramkumar Reddy as the party in-charge for Venkatagiri. jagan struggled a lot to find a substitute for nellore (rural). Adala prabhakar reddy, a member of the nellore Lok Sabha, was initially supposed to be in charge of this constituency, but he reportedly showed no interest in the position. There was rumour that jagan wanted P Anil Kumar Yadav, a nellore city mla, to also oversee nellore (rural), but he, too, declined the offer. The YSRC leader was forced to enlist the help of his uncle Balineni srinivas reddy in order to persuade Adala once more.
