Heroin worth Rs 350 crore seized..!? 6 Pakistani arrested!?

In a joint operation conducted by the indian Coast Guard (ICG) and the gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), 50 kg of heroin worth Rs 350 crore was seized from a Pakistani boat off the coast of Gujarat. ICG and gujarat ATS arrested six Pakistanis from boat Al Sakhar in indian waters near international Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL) in the Arabian Sea. The boat is undergoing further inspection at Jhakao port in Gujarat.
The indian Coast Guard posted on its twitter page that in a joint operation with ATS gujarat, the Pakistani boat Al Sagar, carrying about 50 kg of heroin worth about 350 crores, was arrested in the arabian sea by the indian Coast Guard along with 6 persons. It was brought to Jaga for further investigation. In the middle of the night, after seeing a Pakistani boat suspiciously approaching indian waters, 5 nautical miles off IMBL and 40 nautical miles from Jhakao, the indian Coast Guard started surveillance.
The Pakistani boat tried to escape. However, both ships intercepted and captured the Pakistani boat. While boarding the boat, they thoroughly searched the drug, believed to be heroin weighing 50 kg, hidden in 5 sacks, a Coast Guard official said.
This is the sixth joint operation between Gujarat's ICG and ATS in the past year. On september 14, from a Pakistani boat 40 kg of drugs were seized.
