In a shock to inflation-hit Pakistanis, Shehbaz Sharif's government on wednesday hiked the retail selling price of petrol by Rs 1.45 per liter. With this, the price of one liter of petrol in the country has increased from 235.98 rupees to 237.43 rupees.
According to international currency market data, the value of the Pakistani rupee is 3.02 rupees for one indian rupee. Looking at it this way, 237.43 rupees in Pakistani currency is 78.75 rupees in indian rupees. But per liter in delhi is Rs 96.72 and in chennai Rs 102.63.
For about 123 days, the price of crude oil in india has been sold without any change despite meeting the international market. indian people are expecting to reduce the price of petrol and diesel as the price of crude oil has decreased to a large extent. The central government has said that the parity level has not yet been reached. The report on september 31 stated that the price of kerosene has fallen by Rs 8.30.
Through this, petrol is being sold at Rs 237.43, diesel at Rs 247.43, and kerosene at Rs 202.02 per liter in Pakistan. The price hike announced today is due to the price change in the international market and the change in currency exchange, the government of pakistan has explained.
