China abandoned Pakistan..? What happened..?
The economy of pakistan has been in a bad state since before the coronavirus infection, meanwhile, amid many problems such as coronavirus infection and regime change, the increase in fuel prices has caused a serious impact. In the middle of the problem, the increase in fuel prices has taken a serious toll. Thus, china has left pakistan without fully fulfilling a task entrusted to the country and Chinese engineers.
Chinese engineers and officials who came to repair the 969 MW Neelam-Jhelum hydropower plant in the POK region have left pakistan due to continuous protests by local people and the local police could not control it. In July 2022 due to fuel shortage and power shortage in pakistan, Neelam - pakistan government temporarily shut down the Jhelum Hydropower plant. In this case, the Pakistani government sought the help of the Chinese authorities to fix it and get it running again.
The plant is located near Muzaffarabad in pakistan Occupied Kashmir, and Chinese engineers worked to open an important tunnel at the plant. 508 billion hydropower project was halted after only three years of commissioning due to fuel shortage.
Apart from the Neelum-Jhelum plant, there are serious differences between the officials regarding the Pakistan-China joint projects related to the Dasu and Mohmand power projects. Due to this, the question has now arisen as to how to run these 3 hydropower plants.
