10 countries compete to capture the Sri Lankan market..!?

Sri Lanka's Ministry of Power and Energy has announced that 24 companies from 10 countries, including India, are interested in selling petroleum products in Sri Lanka's petroleum sector, which has been hit by economic collapse and financial crisis. Since sri lanka is ready to accept any help, many countries are helping to capture the Sri Lankan market. sri lanka is in deep crisis for the last few months. 
Currently, 24 companies from UAE, Saudi Arabia, USA, China, India, Russia, UK, Malaysia, Norway, and the philippines are interested in selling petroleum products in Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka's Power and Energy minister Kanchana Wijesekera said that these 24 companies have now submitted applications for options to sell petroleum products to the Sri Lankan petroleum market.
A committee appointed by the ministry will now evaluate the discretionary applications submitted by 24 companies from these 10 countries and issue requests for proposals. Similarly, the process will be finalized in six weeks, the report said.
Last month, indian oil corporation said it would expand its business in sri lanka by opening 50 new petrol stations and investing in storage tanks and other equipment.
