The US government has temporarily suspended 26 flights from the US to China. With china suspending American flights citing the coronavirus in the United States, America's action is being blamed as top revenge. Xiamen, air china, china Southern airlines, and china Eastern airlines have temporarily suspended the service of 26 flights from september 5 to september 28 due to Corona.
19 flights from Los Angeles and 7 china Eastern flights from New York have been temporarily suspended. The U.S. department of transportation said Chinese officials revised their policies as of Aug. 7. Therefore, if the number of passengers infected with Corona reaches 4% of the total number of passengers on a flight to china, one flight will be grounded and if it rises to 8 percent, two flights will be grounded.
The US government has repeatedly objected to this. The US government had accused the airline company of being blamed if it was found to be infected with the coronavirus after landing in china, even if the test showed that there was no corona infection before boarding the American flight.
China and the US have been at loggerheads over the airline industry since the start of the coronavirus pandemic. In august 2021, following China's restrictions on four United airlines flights, the US department of transportation imposed similar restrictions on four Chinese airlines. Before the recent cancellation of the flight service, three US airlines and four Chinese companies were operating about 20 flights a week between the two countries.
