McCain Foods, ISKCON balaji Foods, and Hyphen Foods are the three food companies that are currently holding the record in potato exports. Haresh Karamchandani, CEO of Hyphen Foods said that india started exporting potato chips called french fries in 2015. McCain Foods, ISKCON balaji Foods, and Hyphen Foods have the capacity to export 5,000 MT of potatoes per year. Thus, gujarat plays an important role in the export of frozen potato products from India.
India's frozen potato products reached a market value of nearly $1.10 billion in 2020, and this market is expected to grow by 17 percent during 2022-27.
