On the occasion of Shri krishna Janmashtami 2022, a major accident took place in the Banke Bihari temple of mathura late on friday night. During the Mangala Aarti in the temple, 2 devotees died of suffocation, while many people were injured. The injured devotees have been admitted to the nearest hospital. The rescue team of police and administration reached the spot. 


According to the information, after the birth celebration of Kanha, there was a huge crowd of devotees during Mangala Aarti in Banke Bihari temple. There was no place to even set foot in the Banke Bihari temple due to the crowd gathered for the darshan of Thakur Banke Bihari. Due to this, the people present on the temple premises felt suffocation. Due to this, two people died on the spot due to the problems data-faced by the people and some others also have to be admitted to different hospitals due to deteriorating health.

Devotees could not leave the exit gate

Mathura SSP abhishek Yadav said that during the Mangla Aarti in Banke Bihari, a devotee fainted at gate number-4 of the temple. Due to this, the movement of devotees was restricted. Because the devotees were coming out due to the unconsciousness of a person at the gate, the crowd of devotees gathered inside the temple. Devotees started feeling difficulty in breathing in the premises, due to which two people died of suffocation.

At the same time, the servitors of the temple claim that the officials showed their status in the name of VIPs and gave special facilities to their families. Due to which common devotees had to data-face difficulties. According to the witnesses, a senior police officer of mathura Refinery brought 7 relatives with him.
