Non-bailable warrant against Nithyananda...
Nithyananda, who considers himself a god, has been 'missing' for a long time. Now a local court in Ramanagara, karnataka has issued a non-bailable warrant against Nithyananda in the 2010 rape case. This warrant has been issued by the Additional district and Sessions Court. Although, a warrant has been issued against Nithyananda even before this, but neither the police could arrest him nor find out where he is.
Trial has been done to a large extent in this case and three witnesses have also been examined. However, due to the absence of the main accused Nityananda, the matter has been pending for the last three years. Many summons have also been issued to Nityananda since the year 2019 but he has not responded to a single summons. Now the warrant issued by the court is valid till 23 September. That is, the police have to arrest and present Nityananda by 23 September.Bail has been canceled, Nityananda is abscondingIn the year 2010, Nityananda's driver Lenin had filed a rape case against him. Nityananda was arrested in the same case but later he was released on bail. In the year 2020, Lenin filed a petition in the court claiming that Nityananda has absconded from the country. On the basis of this petition, Nityananda's bail was canceled. It is said that Nityananda has fled the country and has opened his ashram on an island named Kailasa. However, it is not yet confirmed where he is. In the case of rape case, Ramnagar Sessions court issued several summons, but since 2019, Nityananda neither answered any summons nor did he ever appear in court. This is the reason that now a non-bailable warrant has been issued against him.
