India has expressed concern that it is making fuel from Russian crude oil and exporting it to American cities by the sea. Amidst the sanctions imposed on russia, india has expressed concern that it is hiding the crude oil received from russia, refining it, and exporting it to the United States.

Reserve bank of india Deputy governor Michael Patra said that the US Treasury has complained that an indian ship had loaded crude oil from a Russian tanker and brought it by sea to a port in Gujarat.
Patra said that indian companies would refine the crude oil at the port in gujarat and send it back to New York and other areas. According to the economic sanctions imposed by the united states on russia, the transportation of oil, oil-based products, fuel, etc. from russia to the united states is completely prohibited.
But the US has said that oil obtained from russia is refined and transported by indian ships to cities like New York. The 3rd largest importer of crude oil is India. However, even today the amount of oil obtained from russia is said to be less.
