In which state Independence Day is not celebrated?

India is ready to celebrate 75 years of its independence. This time it is being celebrated as the nectar festival of freedom. Preparations are going on across the country. Under the Har-Ghar Tricolor campaign, everyone is excited to hoist the tricolor of freedom at their homes this time. But in the meantime there is a state which will not celebrate this independence. Do you know the name of that state? After all, what is the reason that when the whole country celebrates Independence Day, then this state will not be a part of that celebration.

What is the reason for not celebrating 15th August?

The reason behind this is that india got independence from the british on 15 august 1947, but goa was still ruled by the Portuguese. They ruled goa for 450 years.

India had become independent, but goa was still suppressed by the slavery of the Portuguese. The government of india made many efforts regarding this. Every attempt failed.  After this a plan was made to force them to leave Goa. This time the indian government made preparations for air strikes and also prepared the army for war. This effort of the government was successful and in 1961, 14 years after india got independence, goa got independence from the Portuguese. goa became independent in 1961 on the date of 19th December. This is the reason why the celebration of independence in goa is not celebrated on this day.
