China lifts 2-year COVID visa ban on Indians!!!

China has announced plans to issue visas to indian professionals and their families who have been stranded in india for more than two years due to strict visa restrictions imposed by beijing in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic. Apart from this, the Chinese government is also dealing with the applications of thousands of indian students studying in Chinese universities, who have expressed their desire to return to their colleges and universities for studies.

The Chinese Embassy in india on monday updated its COVID-19 visa policy after more than two years, inviting visa applications from foreign nationals and their families wishing to return to china to resume work in all sectors. This step is a big relief for thousands of indian professionals and their families who have been stranded in the country since 2020.

Indians trapped in china will return home

Significantly, last month, several indian professionals living in china had requested External Affairs minister S jaishankar to pressure beijing to allow their families stranded in india to return. The Chinese Embassy in New delhi said that apart from indians, the families of Chinese and foreign nationals can also apply for visas to visit their relatives or relatives who have a permanent residence permit from China. Apart from indians (some of whom are married to Chinese nationals), several Chinese employees working for various companies were also stranded in india due to Beijing's visa restrictions and flight cancellations.

Flight not announced yet

China, which has restored visa service for indians, has not yet announced the start of flights between the two countries. At present, only diplomats of both the countries can travel to beijing through flights going to third countries. But this journey is very expensive. However, China's latest announcement regarding visas has raised hopes that soon flight services between the two countries can also be restored. In recent months, china has allowed students from some friendly countries such as Pakistan, Thailand, the solomon islands and sri lanka to return.
