The controversy is further fueled by congress leader rahul Gandhi's proposed visit to Osmania University. Some students of the university have approached the high court seeking permission from rahul gandhi to participate in the program. The petition was filed in the high court on behalf of the Congress-affiliated student union. Following the hearing, the high court asked the university's vice-chancellor to reconsider organizing the event.

Rahul Gandhi's telangana tour is proposed on May 6 and 7. This time he was going to visit Osmania University. Here he was going to address the students. Apart from this, he is planning to participate in some other programs. Defending his visit as non-political, the congress said it would only interact with students.

At the same time, the university administration has denied permission for any non-academic activities involving any political figure. The university has referred to the 2017 high court decision. In which it is said that no political movement can be allowed in the university. Following the order, the university had passed a resolution stating that no non-academic activities could take place on campus with the participation of any political person.

There is nothing wrong with a group of professors at osmania university organizing rahul Gandhi's program. This is an intellectual act, not a political one. rahul gandhi is coming to discuss some issues with the students, said law professor G. vinod kumar said. Following the ban on rahul Gandhi's visit, the congress has attacked the telangana Rashtra Samiti, the ruling party in the state.

What will the court decide?

Osmania university is considered to be the ground zero for the telangana creation movement. In such a situation, the presence of rahul gandhi here wants to send a message to the congress party. We have to see what the court decides about rahul Gandhi's program.
