Modi's dream project failed due to Putin..!?
Prime minister Modi-led's federal government has embarked on a vital plan to change the fuel consumption rate in india to achieve the Net zero measure soon, but the plan failed miserably with Vladimir Putin's decision to launch a war on Ukraine. Thus the Modi-led central government decided to use natural gas from domestic cooking cylinders to fuel all vehicles.
By 2020, india was ranked 9th in the list of countries with the highest air pollution. In an effort to change this, india plans to increase its use of natural gas in its energy mix from the current 7 percent to 15 percent by 2030. Natural gas is not without carbon emissions, but less than diesel.
To this end, the federal government expanded the city gas program on a large scale, and in january Adani Total Gas took over the gas supply program from several leading companies. However, due to the war of Vladimir Putin in February, the price of natural gas went up and supply was disrupted.
Currently, the project is failing. This will reduce the use of wood, sorghum, and kerosene by the villagers. In addition, crude oil imports will decline as cng is used for vehicles running on petrol and diesel.
State oil companies also produce natural gas in india, which produces $ 2.9 per million Btu of natural gas, and $ 6.1 per million in the deep sea. But due to many problems in government pricing, domestic production is reduced and imports from abroad to $ 8-10.
Currently, the cost of transportation has increased due to the war in ukraine and there is a lack of adequate natural gas. As a result, Modi's affordable gas supply scheme is now seen as a near-failure. If natural gas prices fall below $ 3.5 a barrel in january, the Modi government's dream project is likely to succeed.
