Following the passage of a resolution in the tamil Nadu Legislative assembly condemning the construction of a dam in Megha Dadu, karnataka chief minister Basavaraj Pomma pledged that the state government will take all necessary efforts to construct the project. He added in a statement that the karnataka government will take all necessary steps to implement the Megha Dadu project, which will see a balanced reservoir built near Kanakapura in Ramanagara district to store 67 TMC of water. We shall take all necessary steps to put the plan into action.

The Cauvery River Management Authority is on the job to get the water flowing again. We've devised a cloud plan for our drinking water demands, based on the amount of rains falling on our riverbeds. tamil Nadu opposes the project and has filed a lawsuit, according to the government.

The government of tamil Nadu is attempting to politicise the Cauvery water issue. Our case has been upheld by the National Green Tribunal. The supreme court of tamil Nadu is now hearing the matter. Despite our all-party meeting's recent unanimous agreement to carry out the Megha Dadu project, the tamil Nadu government has approved a resolution opposing it in its assembly. This resolve is a waste of time. It is also not governed by any laws. That is merely a political ruse. There are other resolutions that are similar to this. "They are worthless," chief minister Basavaraj Puppet stated.
