Mamata Banerjee has said that congress is ready to contest the 2024 assembly elections if congress wants. In the recent 5 state assembly elections, the bjp has won in 4 states. In Uttar Pradesh in particular, it regained power with a simple majority. The BJP's landslide victory in the 5 state assembly elections, which were seen as politically significant, is being meticulously observed in the political arena.

In this context, mamata banerjee of trinamool congress and cm of West bengal has said that the congress party can contest in the 2024 lok sabha elections together with trinamool congress if they desire.
 She added that the Five states' election results should not make us tired and she also added that they should all think positively. It is impractical to say that the results of the 5 state assembly elections will be echoed in the parliamentary elections. The bjp winning in almost all states will not end her positivity and she will strive hard in the next election.
While mamata banerjee has been accused of trying to form a non-BJP-Congress alliance, her announcement is seen as an initiative to rally all the opposition parties against the BJP.
