O. Panneerselvam, the AIADMK's coordinator, has slammed the misleading narrative that chief minister Stalin was to blame for the rise in medical institutions in tamil Nadu. He added in a statement released yesterday that tamil Nadu has 69 medical colleges out of India's 593. tamil Nadu has 10,375 slots available for medical study out of a total of 45,598. Similarly, there are 22,933 spaces in the country's 312 government medical colleges. In tamil Nadu, 37 government medical colleges offer 5,125 spots for medical students.

The AIADMK regime's innovative policies helped the medical sector thrive in tamil Nadu. tamil Nadu had only eight medical colleges until 1954. Medical institutions and universities were established in the Cuddalore and salem districts during the mgr administration. Medical colleges were afterward established in the districts of Erode, Kanyakumari, Theni, Vellore, Sivagangai, Thiruvannamalai, Chennai, Coimbatore, Pudukottai, and Karur under Jayalalithaa.

Aside from that, the AIADMK government in Ramanathapuram, Virudhunagar, Krishnagiri, Namakkal, Nagapattinam, Dindigul, Nilgiris, Tiruvallur, Tiruppur, Ariyalur, and Kallakurichi established new medical colleges in 11 districts in 2019 with 60% funding from the central government on the basis of one medical college per district. It is abhorrent to conflate AIADMK's success with that of the DMK. people will undoubtedly wonder if so many medical facilities can be established six months after assuming power. As a result, the DMK must act despite the pleasant truth. It is abhorrent to conflate AIADMK's success with that of the DMK.
