As the Kosasthalai River flooded, chief minister MK stalin examined submerged flats in Chennai's manali New Town neighbourhood. Boondi Lake is one of Chennai's most important reservoirs, serving the city's drinking water needs. Heavy rains have lashed andhra pradesh for the previous 18 days, overflowing dams and releasing surplus floodwaters. Yesterday nightfall, areas were swamped.
A lot of people's homes were flooded, and a lot of stuff was damaged. The local police station and a government school were both flooded. As a result, 672 flood victims have been evacuated and are being housed in three relief camps. They are fed three times a day. Medical camps are being held, and those in need are receiving adequate treatment.
