Due to low pressure in the Bay of Bengal, many areas in tamil Nadu have been severely impacted by heavy rainfall. Furthermore, despite the fact that their work is complete, the chief minister has raced to the afflicted districts to hasten the relief effort by checking the relief efforts. This has resulted in a situation where people are healing from their injuries. Nobody can forget how, after the terrible floods in Ramanathapuram district in 1955, then-Chief minister Kamaraj rushed straight to the affected districts and worked tirelessly to clear Vetti, earning accolades from Anna, the leader of the Opposition.
The Committee of Ministers has received a report from the chief minister, who was sent to assess the flood-affected areas. According to the report, the government has set aside Rs 20,000 per hectare of land for crop loss and Rs 6,000 per hectare for replanting.
