Seeman, the Naam tamil Party's chief co-ordinator, has urged that the teacher who sexually harassed a student at a coimbatore school commit suicide be severely punished. After composing a letter last Thursday, a Std XII student from a private school in the coimbatore district committed suicide by hanging herself from her home fan. A teacher had harassed her, according to the letter, and she had already stated that he should not be spared at any cost.
Meanwhile, students have been outraged by the topic of student suicide. Various groups, including classmates who had gathered in front of the student's residence, marched to the streets to protest, chanting slogans like "We will not buy the student's body until justice is delivered; the private school principal must be severely punished." "The school administration should take strong action in the case of the suicide of a coimbatore school kid," Seeman, the Naam tamil Party's chief co-ordinator, said on the occasion. "The arrested instructor should be punished severely," he stated.
Apart from Seeman, several TN political party leaders demanded some stern action against the teacher as he must be punished in a manner that it has to be a lesson for other teachers and even kamal haasan stated the same.
