TN has 167 Crores Worth of Medicines and Tablets in Stock
The chennai Metropolitan Corporation has around 4,16,000 chlorine tablets on hand. According to minister Ma Subramanian, tamil Nadu maintains a stockpile of medications and tablets worth Rs 167 crore. The ambulances were flagged off today (14.11.2021) by Ministers of Medicine and Public Welfare Ma Subramanian and Hindu Religions and Charities BK Sekarbabu.
Then, they met the press and said, "To prevent the spread of the disease during the rainy season, 5,000 medical camps are being hosted around the state starting today (14.11.2021). There are 1500 mobile medical camps included in this. In Chennai's Metropolitan Corporation, 400 camps are held every day. Across addition, along with the mobile medical clinics, camps will be hosted at 750 places in chennai today. In the last four days, 38,704 medical camps have been held across the state, benefiting 3,54,547 people.
The government has tested 43,578 persons in these camps so far. In addition, in these camps, the government vaccine is administered. In tamil Nadu, the most number of such medical camps is currently being held. Fever, colds, coughing, diarrhoea, and ulcers are all treated at these camps. To protect slum hygiene, bleaching powders would be distributed at a rate of half a kg per family.
