Vijay has told the local election winners that this is a responsibility, not a position. On the 25th, actor Vijay met with the winners of the recent rural local body elections at the Vijay People's Movement office at Panayur, Chennai's east Coast Road. Vijay then congratulated the winners repeatedly. He thanked all of the local election victors personally that day. Outside, though, no one knew what Vijay said to the winners.

Also, he data-faced more heat regarding evading tax for his Rolls Royce car and the judge made severe hurtful remarks against the actor claiming him to be a real hero and not just a reel hero on movies alone.
