S. Peter Alphonse, Chairman of the tamil Nadu Minorities Commission, suggested that the government approach the chief minister and seek that all communities in tamil Nadu, including Samathuwapuram, have equal burial grounds. "On the directives of chief minister MK Stalin, the tamil Nadu Minorities Commission is conducting a district-wise study on the lives and concerns of linguistic and religious minorities in tamil Nadu," he told media at the Trichy Tourist house today.

He further added, "Many minority communities are unable to bury their loved ones due to a lack of room in the cemeteries. Christian cemeteries, in particular, are overcrowded and unable to accommodate further burials. As a result, communal forces are preventing the acquisition of private land and the establishment of a cemetery, both of which should be prohibited. Since the communal forces were not tapped during the previous AIADMK rule, the communal forces have been pushing for a movement.

As a result, on behalf of the tamil Nadu Minorities Commission, we would like to suggest that the government develop and operate equitable burial grounds for all communities in tamil Nadu, such as Samathuwapuram, under the direct supervision of local bodies. This request will undoubtedly be granted by the Chief Minister."
