8 More Nipah Virus Cases in Kerala..!

In kerala, a boy has succumbed to the Nipah virus and 8 more people have been diagnosed with the Nipah virus. Nipah virus has already been detected in kerala in the absence of corona infection and already an 11-year-old boy has died of the Nipah virus in Kerala. The boy had a high fever for the last 4 days and subsequently, blood samples, including saliva, were taken from the boy's body and sent to the pune Virology Institute.


The test confirmed that the boy was infected with the Nipah virus and the boy, who was undergoing intensive treatment, died yesterday without receiving any further medication as there is no proper treatment. Nipah virus is spread from fruit bats and following the confirmation of the Nipah virus, all those who have been in contact with the boy for the past 10 days are being monitored and searched and work is also underway to isolate them.


In this case, 8 more people in kerala have been diagnosed with the Nipah virus. Their blood samples, including saliva, were taken and sent to the pune Virology Institute. kerala Health Department officials said the test results of eight people from the National Institute of Virology would be available by this evening and kerala Health officials said the next steps would be taken and the severity of the outbreak could be assessed after the results.
