Congress slammed the administration on wednesday for raising the pricing of critical goods such as domestic cooking gas, with rahul gandhi declaring that the nation is united against this travesty and today, the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders was raised by Rs.25 per cylinder throughout all classifications, including subsidized gas, marking the third rise in less than two months.

With the hashtag "#IndiaAgainstBJPLoot," the erstwhile congress president took aim at the government over the increase in domestic cooking gas costs and he shared a chart showing the increase in LPG pricing in the four metro areas since the start of the year. The congress party started the campaign on social media, using the hashtag, and released videos of ordinary people across the nation describing their frustrations with rising prices.

The congress has been criticizing the Modi-led government for rising gasoline, diesel, and LPG costs, and has demanded that they be reduced by reducing some of the national government's levies. The cost of home cooking gas has increased in the previous seven years, according to congress top spokesperson Randeep Surjewala, who also said that "Ache din" has arrived for the bjp to "steal" the nation.
