No to Liquor as Opposition leader - Yes to Liquor as Chief Minister!
Politics often bring the true colors of a person and now it has brought tamil Nadu cm MK Stalin's stability regarding the opening of TASMAC shops during this lockdown period. When MK stalin was the leader of the opposition he protested against the opening of liquor shops and he even wore a black shirt and waved black flags against the ruling ADMK government and Edappadi Palaniswamy.
But now, after he became the chief minister and now the entire state is in lockdown he has approved the opening of liquor shops and TASMAC, and now this is subjected to criticism. The state of tamil Nadu is just facing a small decline in fresh cases and the unlocking has begun in 27 districts already. 11 districts are still facing more cases every day and no restrictions were provided for those places.
In this case, for the new lockdown rules, MK stalin has announced that TASMAC shops will be opened from 10 am to evening 5 pm in all the 27 districts. This received backlash from various sections of people and even opposition parties. The shops which are selling household appliances are given time only for 4 hours as they can be opened from 10 am to 2 pm, but these alcohol shops and TASMAC can be opened for 7 hours. DMK is also showing the two faces!
