Water Scarcity Effect - People Lock Water Drums and Tanks!

The Summer may have subsided a bit in the Southern part of India, but it is still at its peak in many other parts of India. Especially, in Northern India, water scarcity is at its pinnacle. Many villages don't even get a proper supply of water and even for sucking the water from wells, the people have to walk few kilometers.



Such is the bad situation of the villagers in North India. The water scarcity has touched rock bottom in the state of rajasthan and several villages around rajasthan are already suffering without proper water. Reports reveal that water scarcity has touched a new low level which is not seen for the past 12 years. Due to this unexpected scarcity of water, the nearby villages are seeing water theft. 



Yes! people are robbing water from neighborhood houses instead of money or other materials. This incident happened in Ajmer village at Rajasthan. Due to the water theft, people have now started to lock their water tanks and vessels with proper keys and locks. The villagers have also started to request government to provide water supply for the villages through some other ways by bore or digging wells.
