Full Curfew Imposed in Tamil Nadu except Booth Agents and Polling Officers

A complete curfew has been imposed in tamil Nadu today and all shops are closed. However, the polling officers, booth agents, and those who are related to elections are given exceptions. The second wave of Corona has wreaked havoc in the state of tamil Nadu and the total number of positive cases is inching towards 20,000 positive cases per day.


Due to the increase in the number of positive cases, the government has imposed a night curfew and complete lockdown on weekends. However, due to the vote-counting this weekend, the government has ordered a complete shutdown. Apart from this, various party leaders also requested their party members to keep a low profile even after the results are declared.


Even essential services will not be happening in this lockdown today. The press people are given full permission to go anywhere in this lockdown. Apart from this, even the transport services are closed in tamil Nadu. This lockdown will be active until tomorrow morning 4 am. The results are expected to be declared by tonight around 9 pm. Already, the counting of postal votes has begun and currently, DMK is leading currently.
