Sooner the CMs Join hands better for the states
Every day and every decision is becoming an event and war between Telangana and AP governments. The water, electricity, government employees, fees reimbursement to students and new investments almost everything has become an argument and needs centre to resolve the concerns. Forget about who is right or wrong, question is whether the leaders of two regions have maturity to resolve the issues.
Unfortunate scenes here are leading to separation of people and increasing hatred among them. Everyone should fight against corruption but why only people and property of seemandhras are targeted. Telangana politicians are no saints but why none of their properties or activities are targeted. These activities will only send wrong signals to Telugu people and also entrepreneurs. Going by actions of T-CM, Hyderabad is centre of corruption activities and rest of telangana is clear. Driving out Seemandhra people from Hyderabad and sending fears among them will not help Telangana’s cause. Fees reimbursement nativity decision is an immature one. An adult who stayed in US for 5yrs can get permanent residency but a person stayed in Hyderabad for 58yrs is not considered a native. Let’s not forget, no world class city was built by locals but by people from other parts.
On the other hand, deficit budgeted AP will try to seize every opportunity they get be it power, water and industries. AP government will try to reduce spend and increase the revenue. Given the Special category status, planned infrastructure and subsidies, industry will prefer the state ignoring the Telangana. AP CMs clout in central government and his party’s presence in cabinet should not be ignored. AP also should not forget their dependency on water and coal supply from Telangana. Hyderabad as a city is among the big consumer base for the state. Cancelling power contracts may help them gain bit revenue but definitely loose trust of other region.
Creating more complications and going for fights may not help any one of them. Time for both CMs join hands and support each other in their weak areas for the benefit of both states. Being together and constructive must help them than going against each other and being destructive.
