Electric Bus Manufacturing facilities to be set up in AP

Anantapur sources stated that the andhra pradesh state government which had earlier signed a MoU with Veera Vahana Udyog Private Limited for setting up of an electric bus manufacturing unit in Anantapur district, had now allocated 124 acres of land for the setup of the plant. Veera Vahana Company is setting up the unit with a target of manufacturing 3,000 buses a year, and the company had also started works in the 124 acres of land allotted to them near the Gudipalli village near Somandepalli mandal of Anantapur in Andhra Pradesh.



Meanwhile the company had prepared a plan to take up the full scale production of e-buses within the next two years. Along with that, the company management had also decided to set up subsidiary companies near to the plant. The company officials have informed the state government over their plan and it has given approval for the proposal. Authorities are now working on to allocate land to the subsidiary companies of Veera Vahana e-bus Company.


By setting up the plant near Anantapur the Veera Vahana company will directly provide employment to 3,000 people Zonal Manager, hindupuram said that as per the directions of the state government, 124 acres of land near Somandepalli mandal has been allotted to Veera Vahana Company. She said that company representatives are currently in the process of setting up the unit and production of buses in the unit will start in another two years.
