Reportedly door to door diesel delivery could spiral into a major market in india soon as oil marketing companies (OMC) in india are planning to engage start-ups for doorstep delivery of the fuel through mobile petrol pumps. Meanwhile firms already in the sector as partners of OMCs will become official resellers after becoming FuelEnts or fuel entrepreneurs, added the report. It is worth noting that there are many major players running home delivery of diesel at present. Some of them are FuelBuddy, Repos Energy, Pepfuels, MyPetrolPump and Humsafar. When speaking to the publication, cheran Walunj, CEO of Repos Energy, said he expects at least 30,000 entrepreneurs to get registered as FuelEnts and added that the proposition could lead to an Rs 9,000 crore investment. It may be noted that Repos Energy is backed by Ratan Tata. Experts also said that the move could lead to fuel delivery becoming a major market in India. It will also increase demand for diesel in future.
