Defence Minister warned China in Border issue
Defence minister rajnath singh said on saturday that peace talks are being conducted between china and india to resolve the data-border issue. To a question of whether anyone can arm-twist india now like in 1962 (China-India war), Rajnath answered, “No one can even think of that of arm-twisting India. india has a capable and decisive leadership. We will never let india bow its head low.” Meanwhile when speaking to a news channel, he said that, “I want to assure the nation that under no circumstance we will allow dignity of india to be hurt." The Defence minister further added that, "But sometimes circumstances are such that things like these happen and such incidents have happened in the past as well. India’s effort is that tensions do not go up. Talks are going on at the diplomatic level and at the military level with China. Even china has shown interest to resolve the issue."
The Defence minister said that he spoke to the Secretary Defence of the US and told him that there is a set mechanism under which if there is any problem between the two countries, it is resolved by military and diplomatic dialogue. Rajnath stressed that even Doklam standoff in 2017 was resolved by india and china peacefully through dialogue. amit shah also rejected Donald Trump's intervention in India-China data-border issue.
The conflict between india and china on line of actual control has not happened for the first time and earlier also, we have resolved through dialogue, says Defence Minister. Earlier, the indian army and China's People's Liberation army held several meetings to resolve the situation in eastern Ladakh at the Line of Actual Control.
