IMD alert to Hyderabad for next 48 Hours

Reportedly continuous rains in hyderabad city over the last week have caused water logging and inundation of roads in many areas. Monday was no exception as people attempted to make their way back home from work after a spell of rain resulted in water flowing on the roads and massive traffic snarls.


Meanwhile motorists at many points were forced to wade through waterlogged roads, as areas in Cyberabad like Kothaguda and Kondapur witnessed stagnation. In hyderabad, areas like Borabanda witnessed heavy flooding. Recently many took to Twitter to express their frustration and post videos of the inundated roads.



Moreover according to data released by the Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS), as of 8 am on Tuesday, Rajendranagar received the highest rainfall of 66.8 mm, followed by Bandlaguda (53 mm) and Kapra (50.5 mm). Areas like Keesara (47 mm), Moosapet (37.5 mm) and Uppal (35.5 mm) also received high rainfall, as far as the limits of the Greater hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) were concerned and IMD issued a two day alert for heavy rain that will be in place till 8 am on September 26.
