Is Gannavaram issue resolved in TDP?
Gannavaram assembly segment is always troublesome for TDP. Many aspirants are eyeing on this seat due to it’s stronghold in the segment. As per the telugu daily that TDP President resolved the Gannavaram and three segments in Vijayawada.
Reportedly, CBN assured to Vallabhaneni Vamsi on Gannavaram ticket and party asked Dasari Balavardhana Rao to give up seat for Vamsi. Dasari brothers also convinced to relinquish as per the request of CBN. Dissindent TDP senior leader Gadde offered again Vijayawada (East) where he got third place in 2009 elections. In 2014 Gadde Rammohan Rao has to face his arch rival Devineni Nehru (Congress) and Vangaveeti Radha(YSRCP) in Vijayawada East. In Vijayawada (Central) Bonda Uma has assured TDP ticket to fight opposite sitting MLA Malladi Vishnu (Congress) and Gowtham Reddy might be the candidate from YSRCP. Buddha Venkanna is the TDP aspirant for Vijayawada (West). This segment always left to CPI on seat sharing agreement. Venkanna recently met CBN along with Ashwini Dutt on getting assurance from CBN. Naidu does not give any pledge to Venkanna on this. If party comes to power TDP would offer any nominated position to him. Many aspirants have competed for Penamaluru assembly segment. Party doesn’t give any assurance to any candidate.
In 1994 and 1999 general elections this last seat that party announced its candidate just before one day left for the completion of nominations. TDP senior leader believes that Gannavaram political issue solved rest of issue would also settle in the district.
