Kalaivani (39), who lives in Kamarajar Road, Villupuram district, is working as a part-time painting teacher at Villupuram government Model Girls' High School. He has 24 years of experience in traditional painting. He has been painting paintings like thanjavur painting and Kalamkari. It takes 20 hours to paint a thanjavur painting. The price of this painting ranges from 1200 rupees to a maximum of 4 lakhs. However, the general public does not have that level of awareness about such traditional paintings.
Thanjavur paintings are usually finished on boards made of jackfruit or teak wood. thanjavur paintings are known for their sumptuous depictions of deities using vibrant colors and elaborate decorations. In these Kundan stones, jaipur 24-carat gold plates are drawn. Curves are drawn with delicate brushwork in these paintings.
