Police in Nevada, US, are looking into a fatal christmas Day crash that left a two-year-old boy of indian descent dead and his mother fighting for her life in a US hospital. According to a GoFundMe page created to assist the family, shravya Muthyala, her husband Ravinder Muthyala, and son Aarav were involved in a fatal accident while travelling back from Las Vegas. According to the Nevada State police Highway Patrol, the incident happened on Las Vegas Boulevard, a significant route in Clark County. According to the GoFundMe website, Ravinder Muthyala managed to survive the collision with only minor injuries.
The Nevada State police Highway Patrol shut down Las Vegas Boulevard at milepost 12 after the crash to conduct an investigation. There were no further details offered. The fundraiser website created on behalf of Ravinder Muthyala stated, "In this hour of unfathomable anguish and sadness, we wish to support the family and lessen some of the financial burden that her family is currently through." The statement said, "We are holding this fundraiser to assist shravya and her family during these trying times.
The funds collected will be applied to Shravya's medical costs. The day before this disaster, ice and snow storms over the mid-Atlantic area resulted in a multi-vehicle crash in pennsylvania that claimed the life of a 26-year-old man from Haryana. Three Indian-Americans died on december 26 in the US state of Arizona after slipping through the ice while walking on a frozen lake.
