The External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has said that she has received nearly 787 complaints which were told by the Indian workers who are working abroad. The Minister has said the reason behind the issue is there are more mental tortures and exploitations abroad.
The Indian Mission which is located at abroad has given statistical data about the labour complaints. Sushma Swaraj has said nearly 60 complaints were received from Saudi Arabia till February 2016. From Qatar nearly 787 complaints were received from Indian Mission till March 7th and from Kuwait till January around 414 complaints were received.
The total number of complaints which were logged in Oman and UAE stood at 330 and 383 respectively. Sushma Swaraj has stated that the complaints were not because of increase in tortures or exploitations. She said mostly the complaints were given by the Indian Mission by taking them with the concerned foreign delegates.
Complaints about employment were handed by the Indian Mission to the concerned officials in the country. She said the complaint was in the recruitment problem done by fraudulent agents. This year nearly 15 complaints have come till February 29th against fraudulent recruitment teams. She also said steps will be taken by the police officials when the FIR is filed by the complainant or by the relatives.
