Indian Business-man for post of Mayor in Madison
An Indian-born businessman is planning to run for post of Mayor in Madison. He has said that he got the vision to help the people of Madison and make the city, the best in USA. Hanu Karlapalem who is 51 years old is basically from Andhra Pradesh. Right now he runs a network solutions business, Vinhamz, in Madison, in Alabama state of southeastern US.
Regarding standing for post of Mayor in USA he said, "I bet you can't find any Indian American in the city, state or even local offices. Voters will decide I am the right person to lead the city. This could be a historic election not only in Madison but also in state of Alabama. I have better vision than incumbent Mayor Troy Trulock.
I will make Madison as the number one small city in America. This is one of the most intelligent and educated cities. But still we are not even in the Top 10 in USA. The city has fallen behind in every aspect.
There has been increase in job growth and internal communication. We are 20 years behind. Last year incident where Sureshbhai patel was beaten by police was tragic but that alone can't define the city of Madison."
